#12. I disagree about don't stay up all night.

   Why do we have to sleep earlier when we have an exam?  Some people argue that don't stay up all night for studying because we should get some problems. It is true that staying up all night has many problems like, getting more weight, lack of sleep and so on. However, there is against reason for it.

   Many students who don't study everyday or prepare their exam have to cram  the night for the test the next day. If they sleep early, they won’t pass the exam because they don’t look at subject of examination. In my case, when I was high school student, I usually used to stay up all night in a row three days. Because I had to study twelve subjects, I couldn’t study on each subject everyday. As the result, I got an excellent grade and I was satisfied it.

   Therefore, many people worry about staying up all night because it sometimes causes our health problems, but I don’t agree it. Because I have had an experience about getting a good result. Also, I have never felt a week point during I was staying up all night, so it doesn't matter to me. 

#11.Don't stay all night when you study for exam.

   

      How many hours do you sleep during examination? Do you sleep less than 7 hours? If you are, you maybe have a sleep deprivation. It affects seriously your daily life and your health. For example, if you awake at night for doing assignment or studying exam, you maybe fail or get bad grade. During your test, your eyes open, but your brain is asleep because you can't concentrate on your work. It means when you try to function, you are too tired. Also, if you stay all night, you can get over weight. Because there are link between lacks of sleep and weight gain. When people are tired, they get hungrier and eat more than when people are well rested. And they also have more time eat because they are awake.

 

   So, I think even if studying for examination is important, we should go to bed before mid-night. Because sleep assists our memory. If you steadily study every day, you can get good grades without stay all night.

#9.Japanese companies' new English language policy.

 

Now days, English has become the lingua franca. But Japan has been slow to get in the bandwagon. Japan is the third largest country of economy and they don’t feel to learn a new language during Japan’s manufacturing heyday. But, they realize that the language barrier is so serious problem when they work for global marketing. So, Japan Company will adapt a foreign language when they have a meeting, send an e-mail and so on.  So, employees are learning a new language after getting off work. Beside, all high school will adapt too. But, some people are against it because students may have an aversion and they will not learn it as English conversation. They just study for pass the exam. Therefore, Japan has some trouble about lingua franca but the government enforce for Japanese education in 2013. So, when all high school students take an English class, they will learn in English.

  

   In my opinion, it is ridiculous because some students will have trouble keeping up with the class, so they may need to have supplementary lesson. Therefore, their parents are facing higher expenses for their children’s private education. Also, other students lose interest in studying. So, I think it is not good for students.

#8. Groundhog Day

The Groundhog Day is on February.2nd every year. At this time, people enjoy the Groundhog Day events in the Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania. Also, if a marmot sees his shadow, there will be six more week of winter.

So, every year, Phil who is one of main character and his job is weather forecast goes to there with Rery who is a cameraman and Rita who is the other main character and her job is producer. When they finish covering the weathercast, they hurry to go to the home, but they can’t do it because the road is blocked from snow. So, he back to the Punxsutawney. Actually, when he was broadcasting, the marmot saw his shadow and he predicted the people might live more six weeks of winter in this year, but he doesn’t believe it and ignore a traditional event. Anyway, after he back to the there and he do same things happen over and over, so finally, he is exhausted it. He really wants to get out of on February.2nd so, he makes trouble many times every each on February.2nd. And he tries to die with the marmot and then he becomes to like Rita so, he tries to win her heart, but he always fails.

Actually, I didn't see the movie form beginning to the end because I saw it just a 1 hour during my class, so I don't know what happen the next story. When I was watching this movie, I though that he looked like he wasn’t satisfied in present of his life, so I think, he will finally realize that the most importance thing is “TODAY” and every day he may live life to the full and then the day will change on February.3rd. Also, when she observe any change in his awesome behavior from Phil, she probably changes hers mind about his image. Therefore, Rita will fall in love with him. I think these things are the plot of this movie. It may give us some lesson, for example, we should live ten years as one day! Thank you for reading my essay.

#7.How to learn English?

How to learn English?

     How long time have you spent time for studying English? And how do you learn a new language? Recently, many people have to be good at English because they need to a certification of English when they get a job or go to grad school and so on. Educational experts propose that there are three methods how to learn English.

   Some expert recommends that the people should go to English academy. Many Korean students have studied for a long time, but most of them just can use a small part of English grammar. If students take a class in English academy, they will have increasingly a good command of English because they can study of reading, writing, listening and speaking in there.

   Other experts suggest that if people want to learn English more and more, they need to make some forein friends. This way is easier than go to English academy and students will feel better and they will be more intersted in English. They can meet each other anytime, any day when they have enough time and they can talk more than English academy which has limit time. Also they learn other culture when they get along with them.

   Most experts advice student has to have a good attitude and motivation. If student feel very nervous when they study English with a native speaking instructor or meet foreign friends, they can’t develop their English skill. Also if they don’t have some motivation like, why do I have to learn English or I must get a TOEIC certification for getting a job until next month and so on, their English ability maybe go around in circles.

   In conclusion, educational experts advise people who want study effective way of studying English; they should set up goals and gain confidence. If they should do, they will make progress in their English.

#6. I love whatching soccer games

       When I was 22years old, I was in English academy and I was preparing mid-term test with my friends. I was under stress and highly strung, so my friend Ahyun suggested me that watched the soccer game at the Seoul World Cup Stadium.

    Actually, I wasn’t interested some sports games especially watching a game in the stadium, so I told her “I have never ever watched some sports games in the flesh and I just sometimes enjoy watching soccer game by television at 2002 World Cup which event was co-hosted by Korea and Japan.” She was surprised and asked me “So, have you never been to the Seoul World Cup Stadium or any baseball park?” I said “Yes.” She strenuously insisted me “You should go there!”, so I dithered over the decision and deiced to go there and we searched on the internet about the game information like a date, soccer player, weather and what was opposing team and then we bought tickets.

     Actually, I forgot exactly who our opponent was. When we go there, I was wearing the red shirts with my friend because the red signify Korea. I was so exiting and I sang flight song with other audience. Before watching a game, I really didn’t know that nothing was more interesting than this. The Red Devil which Korean cheering squad cheered the soccer team with drums beating and colors flying and I also did it with people.

    It was amazing experience and I could not hide my joy when the Korea team won. Also, I could not believe I saw Korea soccer team members in the flesh. After watching a game, I release stress and I refreshed my mood. If I have a chance again, I want to go there again!

#5. the Biggest Number of My Life

It is recently anecdote. As you know, I had stayed in the USA for 1year.
When I came back to the Korea, I couldn’t believe it is a true. Let’ me tell you what happen with me.

When I arrived at the NY, I went to the Brooklyn because my dormitory was in there. It was first day staying in dormitory on September, 5^th in 2009, my dormitory friends held a party for us. I and some new people who were from the Japan, the Europe and the China sat on a sofa in the kitchen on third floor at the midnight and some dormitory friends gave us a piece of pizza. When I got it, I was astonished because it was too much big size and was very salty. So, I couldn’t eat a piece of pizza at first. Actually, I didn’t like to eat some bread, pastas and hamburgers and I didn’t sometimes enjoy eating some snacks. Because I’m an originally Korean, I usually eat some rice with Ban-Chan everyday.

After several months, my food life was changed. I have enjoyed eating those things, and I ate too much before I was in the Korea. Everyday, I had eaten some bread in the morning and I ate some pasta or pizza twice a week, so I got weight.

After 1year, I returned to the Korea. When I met my parents and my younger brother in the airport, they were so shocked because I was a fat as a pig. I knew that I gained some weight, but I didn’t know exactly how much weight I have gained. So, by the time I got home, I quickly took my weight and cried out in surprise. It was very shocking and I couldn’t believe my eyes. I have gotten fat accurately 10 kilograms for 1 year! I had naver ever seen that number of my life before I checked it.

   So, I take an exercise everyday and I’m going on a diet. When my friends tell me stop eating or lose weight, it gives me very stress. I have lost 4kilograms for a month and I have to reduce my weight until this year!

#4. NY is in my heart.

      Have you ever been to New York in the USA? If you yes, how did you feel when you have traveled there? Or do you know how many suburbs in the New York City?  When I asked those questions, many people answered that New York is New York or New York City is the Manhattan. Also, they didn’t know exactly about New York. But, now days many people want to go the USA and they are interested in travel because teenagers or young people usually enjoy watching the American movies, like American stars or their food and they desire an American life style. So, I’m going to tell you about my life in New York, but it is not the New York City story. I just want to introduce hot places in a suburb of New York for traveler like a what is the most popular an ice-cream in New York and where is a good spot to see the scarlet maple leaves with enjoying the exhibition at this time every year.

First, if you see the movies which are Sex and the City or Gossip Girl, you know or like the Brooklyn. I love there and I had stayed in there for 3months. Many people love the Brooklyn and an every week, New Yorkers take a picnic to under the Brooklyn Bridge. In my case, I usually go there for eating an ice-cream twice a week cause there sells super delicious an ice-cream or taking the water boat for going to the IKEA which is well-know it has reasonable furniture and kitchen supplies. Anyway, when I visit to BK Bridge, I go to the Ice-Cream Factory. My friends told me it has the sweetest an ice-cream in New York, so many New Yorkers and travelers make a call there, so if you want to see how it tastes, you should stand in a line.

 Actually, I love an Ice-cream, so I always eat it three or more times in a week. When I heard it from my friends I couldn’t give up to taste it, so I waited in line to order about a one hour. They have four short of an ice-cream, so I picked up a pistachio almond flavor. When I tasted it I felt like incredible and it was cheap. Especially, during I was eating it, I felt great enough for anything because I saw the beautiful Manhattan city view.

     Second, I really love this place which is the Dia:Beacon Gallery on the 3 Beekman street in the Beacon. I interested in arts and my hobby is that go to museum or exhibition, so I visited there by the train. It took about 40 minutes and I enjoyed seeing the Hudson River while I was taking a train. I have never ever taken a train since I was 12 years old, so I was excited!

The still water was so clear and deep, the sky was too. When I arrived at the Dia:Beacon Gallery, the leaves of maple tree in there garden was beginning to turn red. Some of American people wondered me because there was only one person from the Asia, so they spoke seriously to me this town has nickname which the Tree City because in October, normally prime fall foliage season for this part of country. I agreed it because there has wonderful scenery and an atmosphere of clam and restfulness, so I appreciated works of art very peacefully.

If you visit to New York, I highly recommend you that place. I think if you go there you will be pleasantly surprised. Particularly, the Dia:Beacon is not famed place to tourist. Because there is small town and not crowed, you can refresh your mind. Did you have fun with my travel story? When you read my writing, I wish you should feel like a travel with me.











#3. ChuSeok

            Hello, guys! Are you having  fun today? As you know, Chu Seok is a Korean important holiday. At this time, many people thanks to their ancestors and they take a meal with their family. I and my family also typically do it. There are several things of my family traditions.

 First, Annually in the morning, I and my family visit to a my grandmother's home and we meet our relatives. My family and relatives are believers in Buddhism. So, we have to do the Chu Seok ceremony in homage to our ancestors which we called it a Cha Rye. Second, Before we do it, we prepare some seasonal fruits and make a Korean traditional food such like a Song Pyeon which is a rice cake. When we make the Song Pyeon, we heart to heart talk with our relatives and we enjoy this time. After that, we visit to our ancestor's graves and we sometimes take a look around graves and clean up. And then If weahter is good, we usually see the full moon at night and make a wish. For example, keep peace in the family or good health.

Therefore, I like a one of Korean holiday " Chu Seok" because I can meet my lovely nephews, nieces and relatives, so I can take a happy time with them. Thank you for reading my third essay and I wish you guys have a happy holiday !

My Respect a Person

    

         Do you know who is the first theme park designer in Korea? or Do you know who designed the Ever Land or the Lotte World? If you know those answers, you also guess why I ask those questions to you. The answer is Ni Na, Ahn and my respect a person also her. There are three reasons why I admire her.

  First, I love her life story. When she was 19years old, she was proficient in English and French and she got a job in the Korean Airline. She felt in love with a Korean resident in American during she was a flight attendant. Her boy friend advised her to study in the USA, so she decided to go there. When she entered in the University of San Francisco for studying arts, she broke up with him and she was suffer from consumption. At that time, she had a rough time because she was barely cured and graduated from school, but she didn't get a job. For getting a job, she send her resumes about 500 peaces of paper and she had part time job. She was really poor, so she sometimes didn't eat food. After undergo an ordeal, she finally got a job in the Walker which is the famous architecture design company. And then she started to work for designing theme park. After I knew how became she a good designer, it impressed me.

  Second, I was amazed at awesome imagination. During she worked at the Walker, she participated in theme park projects which one is the Walt Disney World and the other one is the Universal Studio. When she had enough time, she saw cartoon and imagined anything. She was a passionate, her colleagues increasingly realized that she was capable designer. And she successfully completed it and many people visit those theme parks now. After she finished projects, she was headhunted by Korean enterprises which are the Lotte World and the Ever Land. I think she gives people dream and hope! I visited those parks, I felt so excited and happy. It is like where dreams come true!

  Third, I like Ni Na, Ahn's business mind. She founded her own company to work stable. She thinks, we live together with our neighbors and she wants to help other people. So, she tries to share love and communicate by her works.

  In a world, she is my idol. I wish I would want to be like her. When I have sometimes task beyond my ability or I occasionally neglect my study or something, I will recall her and whatever I make a promise to myself "Don't give up anything and try again! ".

Hello, My name is  SO HYEONG,KIM.
I'm 24years old and studying to be designer.
My major is the Metal Craft Design.
I want to be a them park designer, so my goal is that working at the Universal Studio  in the USA.
That's why I got a international college program internship of the Walt Disney World.
It was great time and I can't forget this experience.
When I tell my firends about my internship, many friends think that I'm goot at English, but it is not true.
I like to take pictures and listen to music, so when I have enough time, I usually do it.
And I soemtimes go out for walk.
I wish I would improve my English skill after finish Essay Writing1 class.
